Harbor Recovery House is a transitional living home where individuals with substance use disorders can reside while they establish themselves in early recovery. With room for four male and four female residents along with a live-in house supervisor and located directly across the street from Harbor Counseling’s outpatient treatment facility, Harbor House provides easy access to a very intense treatment program.
Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs in 2023, Harbor House accepts individuals returning from inpatient rehabilitation or incarceration and allows them to safely transition back into society. The treatment program they participate in provides intensive outpatient (IOP) substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services such as assistance with obtaining GEDs, obtaining driver’s licenses, resume writing, job searches, and any other needs that are identified on the client’s individual recovery plan. The typical client stays in Harbor House for 6-9 months, until they are employed and are able to obtain their own housing.
