Clinical Staff
Marena Boyce, BS, Counselor Assistant
Marena joined Harbor Counseling in September 2024 as a Counselor Assistant. She received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice in May 2024 from CU-Mansfield. Marena has plans of obtaining her master’s degree in social work in the near future. In her free time Marena enjoys reading, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Joe Crossley, CRS, Counselor Assistant
Joe joined Harbor Counseling’s staff in August 2021 as Harbor Recovery House Supervisor. He obtained his certification from the Pennsylvania Certification Board as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) in 2022, which allowed him to provide peer support for the house residents as well as for the other clients at Harbor Counseling. He also joined our team of staff members who participate in the “warm handoff” program at our local hospital. This program responds when called by the hospital for drug or alcohol-related emergencies and works with the patients to connect them with drug and alcohol treatment once they are discharged from the hospital. In March 2024, Joe was promoted to Counselor Assistant. In this role, he facilitates group counseling sessions and has a caseload of clients while working towards becoming certified as a Counselor.
Terry J. Davis, BSW
Terry joined Harbor Counseling's staff in 2006 as a part-time employee while completing his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Mansfield University. He obtained his BSW in 2009 and was promoted from Counselor Assistant to Counselor, becoming a full-time staff member in 2011. Over Terry’s many years at Harbor, he has been a true team player, helping wherever he is needed. He has worked with the adolescent population, with the clients who are incarcerated in Tioga County Prison, and now for many years has maintained a full caseload of clients and facilitated morning and evening groups at our facility in Wellsboro. Terry has many interests outside of work which he enjoys using to inspire his clients to find meaningful hobbies and to live healthy lives full of purpose.
Crystal Deitrick, LPC
Crystal joined Harbor’s staff in April of 2021. Crystal had known since her 9th-grade year that she wanted to become a counselor, and that is exactly what she did! She graduated in May of 2018 from Lycoming College with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Human Services. She also obtained her Master of Education Degree in Counseling and Human Services from Lehigh University in May 2020.
During her time in Allentown, PA, she completed an internship with another drug and alcohol treatment facility and then worked there part-time for a year after graduation. She also provided mental health counseling part-time at another facility in Allentown during that year. Crystal then felt it was time to come home to where she grew up and serve her community here in Tioga County. She achieved licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in July 2024 and is now able to see clients with mental health needs as well as continuing as a substance use disorder counselor. Here at Harbor she provides individual counseling to a full caseload and facilitates many group therapy sessions.
Her approach is rooted in Interpersonal Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. During her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, go camping, read, explore nature, and take walks with her mini dachshunds!
Mandy Pacell, BS
In April 2023, Mandy joined the Harbor Counseling team. She has her B.S. in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Her prior experience includes casework in mental health facilities in Bucks County, crisis intervention, as well as counseling previously at a medicated assisted treatment facility. At Harbor Counseling, she facilitates groups and individual sessions.
In Mandy’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on hikes with her four dogs, reading, and baking.
Tracy L. Pequignot, LCSW, CAADC
In 2003 Tracy Pequignot joined the Harbor Counseling team. She has her B.A. in Psychology from Bloomsburg University. She has her Master’s in Social Work from Marywood College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Her prior experience includes mental health assessment and referral, crisis intervention, inpatient substance abuse treatment, and forensic mental health treatment.
During Tracy’s time at Harbor Counseling she has worked with groups and individuals providing drug and alcohol therapy. Over time, she has become increasingly focused on working with dually diagnosed and mental health populations. Her clinical areas of interest include depression, anxiety, codependency, substance use, life transition, relationship issues, eating disorders, and LGBT related issues. Her approach is eclectic with a client centered Cognitive Behavioral focus.
In Tracy’s spare time she enjoys running, reading, meditating, bird watching, and spending time with her family and many beloved pets.
Lexa VanDusen, BS
Lexa joined Harbor’s staff in September 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Psychology from Mansfield University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from National American University and an associate’s degree in criminal justice from the Community College of the Air Force. Lexa is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and in addition to her military experience, her experience prior to coming to Harbor Counseling includes working as a Clinical Supervisor, Veteran Program Coordinator, and Primary Counselor at other drug and alcohol treatment facilities. At Harbor, Lexa is responsible for our treatment services in Tioga County Prison, where she provides individual and group counseling for clients who are currently incarcerated.
